Japan holds the best record of any country that participated in Miss Unibarse. Since they began participating back in 2006, Japan has made it in the semi-finals 5 consecutive yars in a row taking home the crown in their first attempt in 2006 and placing in the Top 10 (2007), Top 15 (2008), Top 15 (2009) and a 2nd Runner-Up placement in 2010. Ines Ligron, director of Miss Universe Japan was an honorary judge at the 2010 competition held in Korea.
